Home again

November 25th, 2007

Brisbane was a complete blur. We were only in town for about 36 hours, and managed to cram them so full of relatives that the time just flew. It was really nice to be back at the house, but also a bit strange. Between renovations and rearranged furniture it all looks very different.

Dad’s party was a great success, and everybody seemed really happy to meet Tim and give him the once-over. My uncle wrote a rude poem and sent it up to Brisbane with us, and there’s a great photo of my Dad reading it aloud in the restaurant and my brother cringing. I might post it here later with some other shots of the night.

Feeling a bit bummed tonight, probably due to overtiredness and a couple of minor dramas. It was nice to come home to our little house though, and see the pup. Harry looks like he had a fantastic time with Aunty Jus and was very happy to have his family home again.

Time for me to go and stretch out on the couch. I think I’m about to watch my first-ever episode of Lost.
