I struggle as it is to read all the blogs I would like to. Partial feeds are just exasperating. Meg from Dipping into the Blogpond did a very similar post last year. Just say no I say.

I use a technorati widget to keep up with my favourites but that’s been up and down and offline a lot lately. Now I’m not sure if you do memes but I’ve tagged you anyway.

I’m so with you. There’s huge arguments for and against the full feed thing but I do full feeds and the partial feeds are either unsubscribed or I just don’t read them.

Yes, yes and yes! This is why I always preview the feed when adding a new blog to my reader. If it’s only an excerpt, I won’t add it. The blog that publishes only an excerpt to their feed has to be a really special unique kind of snowflake for me to add it to my reader.

I’m exactly the same as you, I love Google Reader too, and I usually only bother reading and commenting on the ones that post their full updates and not just the excerpt.
