Hi Gordon,

I didn't have any trouble finding tinned clams at the supermarket when I posted this recipe - the brand was "Always Fresh". They were with the more obscure tinned items, not in the canned tuna aisle.

Failing that I'm sure you could use fresh clams! They're easy to get at the markets here in Melbourne but in Brisbane you probably need to head to a place like Samie's Girl to find them.

Good luck, and please let me know how you go! If all else fails you can grab some cans of Campbell's New England clam chowder from www.usafoods.com.au or at the David Jones food hall. But if you can find clams and make it yourself I promise this recipe will cure your craving!

Hello,
I just came across your site, while looking for inspiration for my own 101 in 1001 days list and thought you may be interested to know that for your #43 task The Hunted Bookshop located in the city does a ghost tour around the city, which was actually on my list before I read yours. I have been told that it is really good.

Oh okay, that sounds delicious! I've never actually had clam chowder - though I have read about it in all the ye-olde New England town novels I read. :P It looks fairly easy though, if a bit time-consuming.
