Hi Elizabeth,

:-) Don't worry about the bad runs. Keep on going, and take it easy. It wasn't until I'd made it to 30 minutes of running, and done that consistently for a couple of weeks, that I found I was really enjoying the running again. It'll come – you just need a bit of patience, persistence, and trust!

This is probably a bit late, but I was wondering if you'd fancy trying out a different 5k running program? :-) It's the same Couch to 5k plan from Cool running, but a different iPhone application.

There are a couple of other apps in the store that use the same program (c25k). One is "Get Running" and the other is "Couch to 5K".

I'm the author of the Get Running. I wrote it last summer when I found myself out of a job and wanting to get healthy. I think it's quite a bit better than the other options, but I'm biased :-)

There's a free demo of Get Running (Get Running Lite) that'll give you a taste, but it only has audio coaching for the first week. If you have access to the US iTunes store, I'd be very happy to give you a code for a free version.

All the best, and keep on with the running – it'll all come out well, trust me!

There are days when your body goes "NO NO NO", it's normal. You'll get the euphoria back and it will be awesome again. Just keep setting yourself little goals to maintain motivation.

Cool vid :)

<3 the music in the clip! And you are a total inspiration with your running! I am going to attempt the C25K in the new year. Not sure how long it will take me to get to the 5k as I suspect I will be repeating a few weeks!
