This boy.

August 1st, 2011

This boy right here is one of the best people I know.  He makes me laugh a hundred times a day, he cuddles me tight, and he puts up with more of my ridiculousness than I should probably admit to.  Ridiculousness is kind of my thing, and he takes it all in his stride.

(No really… this boy deserves some kind of medal.)

We’ve kind of had a rough six months, this boy and me.  Our year started with Tim’s entire team being laid off, and he’s in a fairly specialised field which has made jobhunting pretty difficult.  Then my old home was devastated by floods, my lovely Gran passed away, and my Mum got really sick.  It’s been a lot to deal with all at once and I have been pretty lucky to have this boy by my side through it all.

After a long and anxious wait Tim starts his new job today.  I’m so proud him for working so hard over the past six months and for landing such a great position. Furthermore, I consider it my job as President of the Official Tim Fan Club* to publicly acknowledge how clever he is.

For many different reasons I feel like we’re starting a new chapter, and it feels great.  As long as I have that boy at my side we will leave no butt unkicked!

* By the way, we’re looking for a Treasurer.

Congrats to both of you! You are obviously a great fan club president. Being unemployed can be so destructive to our self-esteem. You are lucky to find someone that you support through difficult times, who also supports you.

You have gone through some really tough time but it’s good that he has stood by you throughout this period of time… giving you the strength and serving as a pillar of support. sometimes, that’s what we really need, to give ourselves an extra oomph of confidence to get through the difficult time. :)
